After the 17th edition of this seasonโs Nations Online Oware League, 66 players representing 21 known national teams have participated so far. The teams with the most players remains Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ (13), followed by Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ (11), and Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ (10). These three national teams still hold the top three positions in the league. Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ has stretched its lead to 420.0 points, an increase of 173 points ahead of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ in 2nd place, with 247.0 points. Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ last seasons winner has accumulated 214.0 with 10 players.ย Kazakhstan ๐ฐ๐ฟ is holding its own with just 2 players in 4th position with 131.5 points.
Well done to Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ for maintaining its lead, and consistently fielding the most number of players for each tournament. With 36 tournaments remaining, will any nation rise to the challenge and organise its own players to challenge the top three positioned teams. There is still enough time for organised teams to climb up the ranks.
Once again national teams from Afrika, America & Asia (Europe) were all represented. 17 tournaments into the new season, we have surpassed the halfway mark and require 4 additional nations to participate to surpass last seasonโs total of 25 nations. Letโs double our efforts to get players from other nations to participate in this league.
