The first tournament of the 3rd season had players from 12 countries from the 2nd season participate to claim the weekly title. Afrika, American, Asia & Europe were all represented. The 1st season was a novelty. In the 2nd season a few teams got serious about organising, some though in the later stages. With the awareness of what’s at stake at least two teams for now: Ghana 🇬🇭 last year’s nations champions & Nigeria 🇳🇬 are going head to head.
Ghana 🇬🇭 with the largest contingent of 6 players by a margin of 1 and 24.5 points was last week’s national champions and in the overall lead. Well done to all the players from the team that made it possible 👏👏👏. Nigeria 🇳🇬 with 5 players came in a close 2nd place. Benin 🇧🇯 with 2 players came in 3rd position.
The 1st seasons champions uncharacteristically fielded 3 players who accumulated 5.0 points. The 2nd season’s Asian & American champions Kazakhstan 🇰🇿 & Colombia 🇨🇴 both fielded 2 players. Accumulating 7.0 & 5.5 respectively. The rest of the teams fielded 1 player each. Let’s encourage them and all the teams to recruit more players to bolster their teams numbers.

With the first practice tournament of the 3rd season behind us let’s continue to encourage other players from other nations to participate in these tournaments in preparation for the next tournament.
Take advantage of these practice tournaments to practice the signing up process in preparation for championships to come. Participate to gain points for your nations team and place it on the Oware map. Well done to all 12 known & unknown national teams that have participated 👏👏👏
