3 weeks into the league 34 players from 12 countries have participated so far. The numbers that participated in this weekโs tournament decreased from 22 to 19. The rankings are being dominated by players who have participated in 2 or all 3 tournaments.
After the 3rd tournament of the season the Oga Otโa of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson takes the lead with 19.5 players points reasserting his dominance of the game. In second place with 12.5 points is serikaktayev ๐ฐ๐ฟ, and in 3rd position is roberisco ๐ฌ๐ญ. It is early days but this seasonโs league looks to be even more competitive than the first season.
The 34 players that have participated in these first 3 tournaments continues to bode well for smashing last seasons record of 112 participants. Well done to everyone who participated. Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, so that we can surpass last seasonโs tally of players.
Please take note, the first three positioned players who are International or Full members of The Oware Society will be awarded cash prizes. Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award join the Oware Society. If donors & sponsorship can be partnered, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions thus increasing the prize fund. We will award prizes top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
