Forty-nine weeks into the 2nd season of the Individual Online Oware League, the number of participants has increased by 5 to 115 players from 31 known & unknown countries, and thus breaking last years tally of 112 players. We welcome jam314 aganzua both from Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, ayoprof & yenkelba both from unknown countries and pierello from Italy ๐ฎ๐น taking part for the first time in this seasonโs league. Well done to every player that made this possible.
This week mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ won the title withย 6.5 points, drawing a game with roberisco ๐ฌ๐ญ in the last round, congratulations to him ๐๐๐. issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ placed 2nd, losing a game to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ. olowolafeabey ๐ณ๐ฌ placed 3rd, losing a games toย mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ, issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ& drawing with dokrichardz ๐ฌ๐ญ.
roberisco ๐ฌ๐ญ & ademolaijaya ๐ณ๐ฌ placed 4th & 5th respectively. Well done to them & everyone else who participated, especially the 2 known female players vivian256 from Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ & kamila17 from Kazakhstan ๐ฐ๐ฟ. In this edition the top 3 positions were occupied by players from 2 countries Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ& Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐๐.
With this win mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ has stretched his lead even further and contributing to the 263.5 points Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ has accumulated for the Nations Online Oware league. issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ with 206.5 points is 2 points away from abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ with 208.5 points. With 3 tournaments to go in this 2nd season of the Individual league it looks like the difference will be made up especially with the absence of abilohre.
The unusual failure of serikaktayev ๐ฐ๐ฟ with 190.0 points to participate,,has made more difficult for to catch up with issahfuseinij ๐ฌ๐ญ who has 206.5 points. The difference between the is 16.5 points The battle for 5th, 6th & 7th place, between roberisco ๐ฌ๐ญ with 187.0 points e17 ๐ฐ๐ฟ with 184.6 points & harrison01 ๐บ๐ฌ with 184.5 points is even hotter. Now with a 2.5 & 0.5 point difference respectively. Who will occupy these positions in the final tally is any ones guess, and could go either way. Meanwhile abdu256 ๐บ๐ฌ with 129.0 points is slowly gaining on Monkftw ๐ฌ๐ง with 133.5 points with a reduced 5.0 points difference with for the 8th position.
Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, from your countries in order to enhance your individual & nations scores. The 1st seasonโs record has now been surpassed and we are now in record breaking territory.
Please take note, the first three positioned players who are International or Full members of The Oware Society before the league ends, will be awarded cash prizes. Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award, join The Oware Society before the league ends. If donors & sponsorship can be acquired, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions we will put in place a prize fund for other categories: top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
