Forty-three weeks into the 2nd season of the Individual Online Oware League, the number of participants increased by 1 toย ย 102 players from 31 known countries. We welcome ereokpan (?) for participating in the tournament for the first time.
This week mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ won the title from with a perfect 7.0 pointsย Issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ placed 2nd with 5.0 points. losing games to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ & abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ, e17 ๐ฐ๐ฟplaced 3rd completing the top three positions. Losing games to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ & Issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ. olowolafeabey ๐ณ๐ฌ & abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ placed 4th & 5th respectively. Congratulations to mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ for winning the title & everyone else who participated ๐๐๐.
With this result the Oga Ota of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson with 238.5 still leads by an increased 52.0 points ahead of the nearest contender abilohre with 186.5 points. With 9 tournaments to go in this 2nd season of the Individual league. It is practically unlikely a contender will be able to challenge mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ for the league title. Technically it is still possible but a long shot. mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ will have to not take part in any of the remaining tournaments, and abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ will have to win with 7.0 all the remaining tournaments.ย Other permutations & combinations are possible to result in a win for abilohre ๐ฌ๐ญ, but whatโs outlined above is the most clear cut example. In a similar circumstance issahfuseinji ๐ฌ๐ญ can only draw with mrjohnson ๐ณ๐ฌ.
Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, from your countries in order to enhance your individual & nations scores. This will enable us to surpass last seasonโs tally of 112 players. With each week we are getting nearer to surpassing this record With 9 tournaments to go, we are still 11 players away from breaking the 1st seasons 112 players record.
Please take note, the first three positioned players who are International or Full members of The Oware Society before the league ends, will be awarded cash prizes. Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award, join The Oware Society before the league ends. If donors & sponsorship can be acquired, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions we will put in place a prize fund for other categories: top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
