Fourteen weeks into the 2nd season of the Individual Online Oware League, with the participation of sirlaw ๐ณ๐ฌ, 61 players from 19 countries have so far participated. The numbers that participated in this weekโs tournament decreased by 3 to 19. As the top players Nigerian ๐ณ๐ฌ players were occupied with EKO NAFEST in Lagos the title was open to all. So whilst they were away the Ghanaian ๐ฌ๐ญ players took the opportunity to register a clean sweep of the top 4 positions. harrison01 ๐บ๐ฌ claimed the 5th position.
The 14th tournament of the new season was won by Issahfuseinij ๐ฌ๐ญ(The Tamale Champion), with a perfect 7 score. apoovitus ๐ฌ๐ญ was the runner up & elvisaboaya ๐ฌ๐ญ 2nd runner up. apol86 ๐ฌ๐ญ & harrison01 ๐บ๐ฌ came 4th & 5th respectively. Well done to them and everyone else who participated.
Despite his absence the Oga Otโa of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson remains 16.5 points in the lead from the nearest contender serikaktayev ๐ฐ๐ฟ, who has 54.5 points. In third place with 52.0 points is his team mate, e17 ๐ฐ๐ฟ. With consistency and average performances the Kazakh ๐ฐ๐ฟ players have managed to secure for themselves 2nd & 3rd positions. 38 tournaments to go in this 2nd season of the league, taking absences, network disruptions and upsets, it is not a forgone conclusion who will take the title.
Well done to everyone who has participated ๐๐๐. Do well to recruit other players to participate in these tournaments, from your countries in order to enhance your nations scores. This will enable us to surpass last seasonโs tally of 112 players.

Therefore If you place in the top 3, and wish to be considered for a cash award, join The Oware Society. If donors & sponsorship can be acquired, and we are able to raise enough funds from member subscriptions we will put in place a prize fund for other categories: top placed, female, junior & continental players who have International, Full or Family membership.
