Once again four active players made it into the all time top ten players list. This seems to be a recurring theme. The absence of the remaining 6 players in the ashanti room continues to make it less dynamic and more difficult for other players to enter this list. The two new players from Ghana 🇬🇭 akrugu have consolidated their positions in the ranking tables, remaining in the active top ten list, and in the case of ayirungo remaining in the all time to ten list for the first time.
The threshold for entry into the active top ten list increased once again, the tough competition between the master players saw to it that there were no wild increases in a players points. Thus making entry into these lists very difficult. joshyboo1 from Nigeria 🇳🇬 made it into the list for the first time. A result of several convincing wins against stalwarts of the top ten list. If there was a prize for most improved player in the week it would go to joshyboo1 🇳🇬. lordcity from Ghana 🇬🇭 was the only yellow ranked player to make it into the list.
The giant of Afrika, Nigeria 🇳🇬 continues to dominate the top ten of active players ranking list, with 4 players in the top 10; mrjohnson, aiyedunseun, joshyboo1 & akinking. The players from Ghana 🇬🇭continue to make their presence felt, with 4 in active top ten list: akrugu, ayirungo, lordcity & roberisco. grandmastert from Antigua & Barbuda 🇦🇬 still remains in the list, being the only known player from outside Afrika on the list. laladom from Togo 🇹🇬 putting in a fleeting appearance once again maintains his position in the list. assino28 could not maintain his / her top 10 position. Is this going to be a two horse race between Nigeria 🇳🇬 & Ghana for dominance?
What has been shown is that the more master players each nation has in the ashanti room, the more likely some of these players are to be in top ten lists. We will that this serves as motivation for countries whose players are not present on these lists to recruit more players into the ashanti room. Well done to these players and all the other players of all ranks for making the ashanti room as dynamic as it has become. 👏👏👏
