The number of participants in these open practice tournaments (Oware League) increased to eighty-nine, with addition of two players from Poland ๐ต๐ฑ. The number countries represented still stands at 23. 21 players from Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ, 11 players from Colombia ๐จ๐ด, 7 from Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ, 6 from Kazakhstan ๐ฐ๐ฟ, 5 from Kyrgyzstan ๐ฐ๐ฌ, 4 from China ๐จ๐ณ, 4 from the UK ๐ฌ๐ง, 4 from France ๐ซ๐ท, 3 from Czech Republic ๐จ๐ฟ, 3 from Benin ๐ง๐ฏ, 3 from Poland ๐ต๐ฑ, 2 from Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, 2 from Austria ๐ฆ๐น, 1 from Belarus ๐ง๐พ 1, from Germany ๐ฉ๐ช, 1 from Cape Verde ๐จ๐ป, 1 from Ivory Coast ๐จ๐ฎ, 1 from Togo ๐น๐ฌ, 1 from Russia ๐ท๐บ, 1 from Costa Rica ๐จ๐ท, 1 from Italy, 1 from Antigua & Barbuda ๐ฆ๐ฌ, 1 from Barbados ๐ง๐ง and 4 from unknown & countries.
22 players from 10 countries participated in the last edition of the practice tournament on Saturday. The team with the largest contingent this week was Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ with 6 players. Followed by Colombia ๐จ๐ด, Kazakhstan ๐ฐ๐ฟ & the UK ๐ฌ๐ง & with 3 players each. Then Poland ๐ต๐ฑ each with 2 players. Finally Austria ๐ฆ๐น, Belarus ๐ง๐พ, Ghana ๐ฌ๐ญ, Kyrgyzstan ๐ฐ๐ฌ, Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ, represented by one player each.
The Oga Ota of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson won the tournament for the eighth time in a row, with a perfect score of seven. Well done to him and everyone else that participated. He continues to make progress in catching up with 2nd position monkftw of the UK ๐ฌ๐ง. As for the surpassing current leader harrison01 ๐บ๐ฌ, with a potential 126 points to gain and dwindling a 62.5 points difference, it seems unlikely but still possible.
harrison01 of Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ still maintains his position at the top with 179.5 points. Trailing in 2nd with 128.0 points is monkftw of U.K. ๐ฌ๐ง and 3rd is the Oga Ota of Nigeria ๐ณ๐ฌ mrjohnson with 117.0 points. With 18 weeks of the league to go the finishing line is getting closer & closer. Lordcity ๐ฌ๐ญ a master player unfortunately lost connection in his first game against monkftw. She / he if consistency can be maintained is a strong contender for the next edition of the league.
